Responsible Vaping

We sell nicotine products, and we think that comes with an obligation to be straight with customers about them. This page covers who these products are for, who they are not for, and how to use and store them sensibly.

Who these products are for

Vaping products are intended for adults aged 18 and over who already smoke or vape. If you do not currently use nicotine, do not start.

Who should not vape

• Anyone under 18
• Non-smokers and former smokers who have already quit nicotine
• Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding
• People with heart conditions, high blood pressure, respiratory conditions such as asthma, or diabetes — speak to a doctor first
• Anyone allergic or sensitive to propylene glycol, vegetable glycerine or nicotine

Choosing a nicotine strength

Higher is not better. A strength that is too high causes headaches, nausea and throat irritation; one that is too low leads to over-vaping. As a rough guide:

• 20mg (2%) salt nicotine — light to moderate smokers, and most pod systems
• 50mg (5%) salt nicotine — heavier smokers, common in disposables
• 3mg to 6mg freebase — direct-to-lung devices with higher output

Using devices safely

• Only charge with the cable supplied or a good-quality equivalent, and never leave a device charging unattended or overnight.
• Do not expose devices to heat, direct sunlight in a parked car, or water.
• Do not modify, puncture or attempt to refill a sealed disposable device.
• Stop using a device that is damaged, swollen, leaking or getting unusually hot.
• Replace coils and pods when the flavour turns harsh or burnt — do not keep using a dry coil.

Storage and children

Nicotine is toxic if swallowed, and e-liquid is dangerous to children and pets even in small amounts. Store all products out of reach and out of sight of children, in a cool dry place. If a child swallows e-liquid or a device, or if liquid gets into the eyes, seek medical attention immediately.

Where you can vape

In the UAE, vaping is subject to the same restrictions as smoking in many places. Do not vape in indoor public spaces, government buildings, shopping malls, public transport, mosques, or near schools and healthcare facilities. Respect signage and the people around you.

Disposal

Disposable vapes contain lithium batteries and should not go into general household waste. Use battery or electronic-waste collection points where available, and never incinerate a device.
